WIndows 10 Surface Tablet Webcam passthrough Xenapp 7.15LTSR Server 2016

Kevin Griswold

Question

HI am trying to get the webcam to pass through a citrix session on a windows 10 Surface tablet.

I believe i have everything in place as far as citrix policies and receiver Group Policies goes. i have tried different receiver version but settled on  4.12 on the client

i have the citrix policy to enable the USB device redirection.

i launch google chrome app and go to a site to test the camera launch and it fails however it says the hdx camera is allowed in chrome.

the windows store app i am testing calls the camera function as well and that continues to fail saying no camera found.

i am running server 2016 with xenapp 7.15 LTSR CU2. Any advise would be appreciated

just an FYI i am still having issues with this. vda version or receiver version doesn't seem to matter.

does even recognize the camera as generic either. working with support on this but resolution as of yet

Can you run DumpVCap on your endpoint machine and paste the output here?

Ok, so we don't support MJPG, only YUY2.

Looking at the resolutions supported, we should pick maybe 640 x 480 ?

If you edit the Registry Keys for Resolution as explained in CTX132764 (Section 6.1), what happens?
