UPM synchronizes the whole registry (NTUSER.dat) by default. You may enable the registry exclusions and the keys should be excluded successfully.

That's basically what you are doing in the screenshot


However, if you would enable the inclusions, ONLY the included registry keys will be synchronized with UPM. And therefore, not the complete registry anymore

Where are the reg keys stored and how are they written? Does the app write them?


WEM has naught to do with this from a upm perspective, it just tells upm what to do (writes the same policy keys as GPO)


WEM will help you with writing reg keys that are not playing nicely in the user context in conjunction with apps
