Client/app not recognizing Java

I have a server that needs to use Java 6 update 25 sadly for and older Oracle app.

The 32bit JRE is installed on the Xenapp server. Windows 2012 R2.


However when you launch the app, which is just IE 11 set to go right to a URL for user login, it does not seem to see the JRE and gives a notice to install it although it already exists.

Message it shows attached.


I wanted to start here before I may need to open a case with Citrix Support.


Has anyone seen issues with Java like this and know of a resolution?

I will have to do this again with newer Java version soon as well with a different server.


Seems to run as expected on our old 2008 servers that we are going to decommission.
