Not able to upload a Zip file over to a webserver from an iPad over an XenMobile MDX Application

Hi guy's

i have a quite a special issue with an application on a iPad. We are able to login on that App with Active Directory credentials, so the connection to the LAN over a Citrix Netscaler is working just nice. In the app we can upload some documents to the internal webserver, which is a zip file.

It is sending a HTTP Put command to put that ZIP file, which doesn't go through to the webserver. When testing the app without Netscaler / XenMobile it is working without any issues. We have the following features enabled on the Netscaler.

I suppose that this is some configuration on the Netscaler, which is causing that, but i'm kind of lost about it. Does the installed license probably needs to be another one to be able to upload files?

Many thanks for any help.

Best regards,
Marc

There is no special license requirement to process http put requests.

In this case the first action is to figure out whether the APP is sending the PUT request over the micro vpn tunnel and if so what is NetScaler doing with it.

This can be verified using a packet trace on NetScaler with session keys , after decrypting the trace and look for the specific http request.

Hi Sidd

many thanks for your feedback. We were able to sort it out yesterday with the application developer and it seems to be related with the ZIP file content somehow. Uploading a JPG or a empty ZIP is no problem. I think that isn't an issue on the Netscaler, but anyhow it's good to know how i could trace that.

Thanks for that!

Best regards,
Marc
