Citrix Workspace fails to authenticate after closing of app

I just came across this issue where we are running Citrix Workspace 19.2 on IOS and when we first setup the client it works, however when we exit the Workspace app by pressing the home button (IOS devices) it requires us to re-authenticate and when we try to type in the correct credentials it fails and says either "incorrect login" or "could not logon. Verify your credentials and network connectivity".  I have tested this on Android devices and they have no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
