Receiver inside published desktop

Gianluca Crispiani

Question

Hello,

in our xenapp6.5 infrastructure, we need to use receiver inside a published desktop.

SSO seems work well but receiver seem unable to enumerate the store.

Receiver(4.9.0.2539) is configured to use https protocol to communicate with storefront(3.9.0.56) but storefront talk with delivery controller in http and xml trusted on same port (80).

The error I got is: "Your apps is non available at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or contact your help desk with this information : Cannot contact <storename>"

In any case if i use receiver from a thinclient or another device, I can contact the store and I can use all the published apps.

So problem is fired up only when I run receiver on published desktop into delivery controller.

I appreciate any help to debug and solve this error.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, finally I solved my problem:

even if it was not completly applicable to my case, https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX130480, was the starting point, especially where it discussed about the anonymous login event into the delivery app server.

From here, I understood that there was a misconfig into the storefront where was the kerberos delegation was turned on.

I don't know if it's a default setting or not but when I turned it off and I reboot the storefront, the receiver start to work normally.

Anyway thanks for the provided suggest.

Is Trust XML enabled on your farm (Set-BrokerSite)?

Check StoreFront Server > Event Viewer > Applications and Services > Citrix Delivery Services for errors.

1. I use the policy to trust the xml as i xenapp6.5 DCs ; it's the same ???

2. Wow, finally I can find this 4 error in the event log:

One:

The Citrix servers sent HTTP headers indicating that an error occurred: 401 Unauthorized. This message was reported from the XML Service at address http://ctxdesk01.mydomain.my/scripts/CtxIntegrated/wpnbr.dll [NFuseProtocol.TRequestAppData]. The specified Citrix XML Service could not be contacted and has been temporarily removed from the list of active services.

Two:

All the Citrix XML Services configured for farm Controller failed to respond to this XML Service transaction.

Three:

None of the Citrix XML Services configured for farm Controller are in the list of active services, so none were contacted.

Four:

None of the Citrix XML Services configured for farm Controller are in the list of active services, so none were contacted.
