Question

HI all,

Greetings.

I have 7.15LTSR DDC which is not able to contact to vsphere hypervisor. I have done all the troubleshooting steps obtained through forums and blogs but still no luck. dns, firewall, certificates, tls….tried everything.

Please let me know of any suggestions

Many Thanks,

krish

Hi Krish,

Could you share the 7.15 LTSR version and the vSphere version that you are trying to connect to?

Since you are not getting a certificate error, it is probably not related to the support of vSphere 6.7.  But, just a heads up that the support of vSphere 6.7 was recently added to the 7.15 LTSR CU3 (7.15.3000).

Thanks,

Joseph

Thanks, we will bring up a local 7.15 CU1 setup with vSphere 6.5 U2d to see if we could repro the issue.   Could you paste the full details/snapshot of the connection error here?

1/25:

An update here: our lab repro setup could connect to the vSphere 6.5 U2d.  At first, I was wondering if one of the vSphere update caused the issue.  But, it might be some other issue you have on the Controller.

Thanks, but there should be more information in the error details.  Could you copy and paste the text here?  For security reason, you should replace the domain name with "XXXXXX" that is highlighted in red.   Here is a section of the error details with the same error ID I found from another forum question.

If you haven't seen this certificate authentication prompt with 7.15 LTSR CU1,  the communication between the vSphere and XD Controller was not established or was rejected.  You are welcome to open a support ticket which allow us to better assist you in the investigation of this issue.
