Cannot connect Studio to PVS - SQL error 7.15 LTSR

I have a newly built PVS 7.15 LTSR with XenApp 7.15 LTSR. The SQL database for all components is SQL 2017 CU10. Studio and SQL OS is Windows 2016 patched to Sep 2018.


My user account performing the config is a full admin on everything. All servers are in the same subnet with Windows firewall off. DNS and port tests pass fine. PVS is working ok in its own right.


When trying to connect Studio to PVS to make the first catalog, the error in the screenshot is depicted. A completely generic 'A database SQL error has occurred'. I have tried looking at event and SQL logs, but I see nothing obvious, I don't know where else to look.


I have tried both our PVS servers, using FQDN, shortname and IP address. Same error each time.


Any help is appreciated!
