Storefront Session Timeout

JR S

Recommended Posts

We got a new deployment of Storefront 3.15. Session timeout were configured in storefront and VDA servers.

End users getting terminated even there is application running and processing. Where is the termination happening? Is it in the storefront or vda server?

What kind of VDA? If RDSH, the Microsoft GPOs > RDSH > Session Time Limits has a setting for Active Session Timeout. If not RDSH, then Citrix Policy has time limits.

The timeout for StoreFront Receiver for Web should not affect your sessions, unless the Logoff button is clicked. You can use Workspace Control settings in StoreFront console to control what the Logoff button does.

Hi Carl,

Thank you for the input. Is it possible to disable storefront timeout setting? What could be the value?

The StoreFront timeout is at StoreFront Console > Store > yourStore > Manage Reciever for Web sites > Configure > Web Sessions - and the third field for Session Time Limit

If I wanted to disable this timeout session in the Storefront, what value should I define?

Hi Carl,

We are also facing storefront inactivity timeout issues from end users. Our endpoint is RPi with TLXOS in it. Storefront session timeout is set to 45 mins and it behaves as expected. Our VDI is Wndows 7 random pool desktops. For some users Storefront inactivity timeout page popups in full screen while users are in use of VDI and this timeout page appears infront of the VDI desktop so they have no choice other than login again. This happens randomly for some users only. We are using Web mode using http for connection type.

How can we prevent this appearing in full screen in our endpoints while they are in use of VDI desktops? Is this how Strorefront timeout occurs or this should happen in background?

In some documentation I have seen if we increase the session timeout in Storefront GUI for more than 1 hour, it is required to change some config files in file system levels too???
