HDX Audio input after while stop working

Sasa Stojicevic

HDX audio input (microphone) after while stop working.

Client side: Igel thin clients + Plantronics and Jabra usb headsets.

Virtualization (broker): XenDesktop LTSR 7.15 + NetScaler

VM for users (Hosted Shared Desktop): Windows Server 2016

Everything is optimized for Call Center (VoIP), and perfect works, but after while without any rules HDX audio input (microphone) stop to work.

HDX input is still recognized on VM (Windows Server), but nothing more.

Microphone in that moment when break on VM, on thin client still working.

I also tested on Hosted Virtual Desktop OS (Windows 10), and result is ok, without problem.

HDX output in both case working.

If someone have some idea for solution of this problem?

HI Jonathan,

I do all this staff on each side before, but nothing.

Guide which I used in this case: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-15-ltsr/multimedia/audio.html

- In case when Server operating system is used, audio input/output is Citrix HDX Audio. This is because Plantronics or other usb headphones can not be redirected in full ( drivers it is only for Desktop OSes). Audio input if is unused for example 20 minutes, than stop working. Only way to again start to work is to logoff/logon from Server.

- In case when Desktop operating system is used, audio input/output is Plantronics (full redirected), and everything work well.

Just in case on Server  and thin client I set: Power plan to high performance, Lock screen - turned off, Sleep mode - turned off, etc...

I don`t have more ideas.
