XenApp 7.15 LTSR CU1 Ref. CTX231127

Question

Hello together,

Refering to this Post and Patch:

https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/391485-xenapp-716-windows-2016-random-disconnects/

https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX231127

We've got the same issue after apply the CU1 Update for XenApp / XenDesktop 7.15 on Terminalservers with Server 2012R2 with 3 Event Logs:

Event ID 10

The Citrix Group Policy services started RSOP calcuation for computer

Event ID 11

Teh Citrix Group Policy services completed RSOP calculation for computer

Event ID 1049

The session 'xxxxxx' was disconnected

My Question now:

Does anyone have a Patch for the 7.15 CU1 Version? Or it's doent matter and we can apply the 7.16 Patch and still have the full Support?

Option 3 -> open a new Support Case?

THX

Christian

Hi, we have the Same issue with Server 2016 and XenApp 7.15 cu2.

In Cu 3 this fix is not listed in the edocs.. so did you get a private for 7.15 LTSR?

Thanks Marco

The issue is not only not listed in 7.15 LTSR CU3 edocs, but I can confirm that it's also not fixed. I'm having the same problem at the moment using Server 2012 R2 with 7.15 CU3.

Unfortunately it's also not listed under known issues in the CU4 release notes.

Has anyone come across a workaround or solution on this?

Just to advise we are seeing the same disconnections running 7.15 LTSR CU4 on 2008R2.  Seems to happen randomly affecting only one user at any one time on a XenApp server, running through a Netscaler.  System event log shows event 1005 ("The Citrix ICA Transport Driver connection from 172.xx.yy.zzz:13175 has been suspended."):

- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

followed by a 1004 ("The Citrix ICA Transport Driver has received a connect request from 172.xx.yy.zzz:15329"):

then a 1007 ("The Citrix ICA Transport Driver connection from 172.xx.yy.zzz:13175 has been closed")

- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

  </Event>

Interestingly (maybe) the corresponding Application log entries noted in previous replies (event 8 "Started RSOP" and 9 "Completed RSOP") appear with a slightly later timestamp (12:34:10 and 12:34:14) than the System log events 1005 and 1004 (12:33:16 and 12:34:04), though the 1049 "The session <GUID> was disconnected" application event has the same 12:34:14 timestamp as the 1007 System event.  This seems to show that the existing connection is suspended (System 1005), a new one is started (System 1004), this triggers an RSOP (Application 8 & 9) then the original suspended connection is terminated (System 1007/Application 1049).

Netscaler (v12.1) shows nothing obvious in the logs - just an ICAEND in the ns.log at 12:33:15 which corresponds to the initial 1005 event (TdIca Connection suspended).

Any help/suggestions appreciated...
