PVS 7.15 for Remote Desktop Services 2016

Martijn Humblet

Question

Hi all,

We are using PVS 7.15 in combination with MS Remote Desktop Services 2016 as target devices. This is all reasonably well working, however, after every reboot of a target device (RD Session Host), we have to remove that particular server from its RDS Collection and add it back again, to make it work. Before we do that, the server is not accepting any new sessions. Is this solvable in any way, so that we don't have to script this task after every reboot?

Thanks!

I found the location in the registry where this information was kept using regshot, but never used it to solve this issue. We used a powershell script that ran soon after the nightly reboot that took the host out of the collection and added it right back in. You'd really expect this to be taken care of by the PVS target device software though...

I‘ve created a blogpost about this. You have to use a simple PowerShell Script, Running after every reboot of your session hosts.

hope this helps.
