WPF application not using GPU on virtualized Server 2016 Server

ganesh rao

We have a WPF application that we want to publish via Citrix. We downloaded and installed XenApp 7.16 on a Server 2016 virtual machine hosted on VMware ESXi 6.5. We have set a NVIDIA GPU as pass through to the virtual machine. All Citrix components and VDI agent are on the same machine.

We followed all the steps mentioned in https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-12/hdx/gpu-acceleration-server.html for enabling WPF application to use hardware rendering in Citrix session but it did not work. Is there something that we may have missed?

- We used WPF Performance Profiling Tools to verify if the WPF application is using software rendering or hardware rendering.

- We also verified that if we logon into the virtual machine via console (VMware Web Client), the WPF application was using hardware rendering.

- We verified that Citrix dlls for multi monitor support is indeed injected.
