Hi @Victor Avila

We completely understand the severity of this issue crated in your organization due to the lack of Clipboard Copy/Paste support in UWP version of receiver. However, we would like to introduce Receiver for Windows Store Edition and you should be able to install this version if your OS version is equal or above16299.15 [Fall Creators Update]. Also, using which you will be able to get most of the working functionality of Receiver for Windows desktop version including Clipboard and other features.

Hi @Chella Kumar1709154188 @Sravya Anisetty,

The posted solution to use the Receiver for Windows (Store) via https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/receiver/windows-store/current-release.html links to the exact same Microsoft Store App as the UWP article: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/receiver-for-uwp/receiver-for-uwp-10.html. They both link to: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/store/p/citrix-receiver/9wzdncrfj2kj, which is the application that has the lack of copy and paste functionality.

Can you please explain this further? What is the difference and how is this a solution?

Thanks

Hi woerthlet,

There are 2 different versions of Receiver for Windows (Store) which is available in Microsoft store.

Version1: This version of Receiver will be installed if the windows 10 OS version is less than 16299.15 [FALL CREATORS Update] , here the clipboard features may not work.

Version 2: This version of Receiver will be installed if the windows 10 OS version is equal to or greater than 16299.15, here the clipboard features will work.

The KBArticle https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX230234 will help in understanding the different versions of Receiver for Windows (Store) based on windows 10 OS.

Hope this will resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Sravya

Hi Mahima,

I'm having the same issue as vavila15: I'm unable to copy and paste from my local Windows 10 Enterprise machine to a published Citrix app that I access using UWP Receiver 1.0.5. Other people have stated the same, based on Google search results for this issue.

1. Is this a supported feature currently?

2. If not, can this be fixed, as it should be a part of base functionality?

Thanks

Hi Mahima,

This issue has a large impact on the users of UWP Citrix Receiver and is affecting the ability to provide a satisfactory service to both organizations using this software and the clients of those organizations.

It is unacceptable that such a widely used product does not support this basic functionality, it's a simple copy and paste operation. This is extremely frustrating and needs to be treated with priority.

Please let your users know when this can be fixed, it's been 3 weeks with no response!

Thanks,

Tobias

Hi,

What is the version of Virtual Apps and Desktops?

Copy/paste of files, directories or groups of files or directories between a session and a local client is supported as of Virtual Apps and Desktops 1903.

Refer- https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/downloads/citrix-virtual-apps-and-desktops-1903.pdf

Are you trying to copy/paste files or copy/paste clipboard content?

Refer- https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/policies/reference/ica-policy-settings/bidirectional-content-redirection.html#copy-and-paste-between-session-and-client

Regards,

Mahima

I am not sure what you mean by "Virtual Apps and Desktops"? Is this something I need to install on top of my Citrix Receiver installation? I am not an administrator of Citrix Server apps so if that is what that is then I can perhaps I can contact my local IT department on the matter. I do know that they have tried this on other company machines and this function seems to work fine so it seems to be isolated to my setup (e.g., they can copy clipboard content from host to citrix session, citrix to citrix sessions, etc)

I'm trying to copy/paste clipboard content.

I navigated to the page mentioned at  https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/policies/reference/ica-policy-settings/bidirectional-content-redirection.html#copy-and-paste-between-session-and-client.

I ran the command C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\redirector.exe /regIE

This made no difference. I still cannot copy paste between my host machine and the citrix sessions or between Citrix sessions

Example:

1) Copy clipboard content from my local instance of notepad to a citrix client (e.g., firefox) - Failed

2) Copy clipboard content from my citrix client (e.g., firefox) to my local instance of notepad - Failed

3) Copy clipboard content from citrix instance #1 (e.g., firefox) to citrix instance #2 (e.g., IE) - Failed
