Start menu settings not translated

Dieter Verschueren

Question

Hi all,

I 've created a PVS image for W2K16, installed the WEM agent on it, redirected the cache file to persistent drive.

A language pack is installed on the image and a GPO created to put everything in that same language (NL). Scoped on user objects.

Most things are translated, except some stuff in the start menu. When I uninstall the WEM agent, those same things DO get translated, so obviously WEM disrupts or interferes with this translation.

Anyone have an idea how to check / solve this? I'll be opening a Citrix case anyway because partially translation is not an option.

I 've included some screenshots to show the difference. Fully translated is without the WEM agent.

Edit: same issue for Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Dieter

This has finally been fixed in a private patch. It will also be included in the next public release of Workspace Environment Manager.

If requesting fix, ask for LC8811.

For the 2 people following this discussion :5_smiley:

It's now officially fixed in version 1903

Fixed in Workspace Environment Management 1903

The following issues have been fixed in the current release:

With language packs installed, options in the Start menu > User Account menu might not appear in the language you selected. [WEM-1176, LC8811]
