How to modify Command Line path on multiple published applications

Rich Erhart

Question

Does anyone know of a method to modify the Command Line path within multiple published applications all at once? Such as a Find and Replace.....For example, I have 100 published applications with a UNC command line: \\alias.com\folder\application.exe that I need to change on all applications to: \\alias2.com\folder\application.exe. ...via Powershell/SDK? Database?

Are all your applications sitting in a particular folder in AppCenter?

Give me the folder name and I can give you a script that will do this.

They are in many different subfolders under 'Applications'....Such as 'Administration' and 'SQL Server' and 'Office Tools'.

Many of my applications launch from a UNC path of a server Share and that server is migrating to a new domain so I want to create a new alias DNS and change all my paths, but do not really want ot edit all the application properties of all of them.

OK, going to be a bit more complicated but totally do-able.

You will need to give me a bit of time though.

Are you using DNS aliases for your paths?

Why not just change it in DNS?

If you are not using DNS aliases then start using them now so next time you don't have to do this again.

Hello,

I have almost the same request on more then 200 published apps on citrix studio which need a modification of their identification (Application name for user and administrator) and location (path to executable file and working directory).

And so i am trying to script it, but i am struggling with.
