I'm truly impressed with Microsoft Live Mesh services, it's an awesome approach to cloud computing, however, the service relies on RDP and we all know RDP is not fine tuned for HPRD (high-performance remote desktop).

I'm showing on this screencast a comparison of GoToMyPC and Live Mesh Remote Desktop side by side, and I add my thoughts on how Microsoft can partner with Citrix to deliver superior quality for this unique platform.

Good video and idea Gus! In playing around with Mesh on Vista I have found that it won't let you add a desktop if you have UAC disabled or if you are running under an administrator accout.  Most probably for security reasons I am sure but I can't imagine a UAC prompt coming up every time I want to do something on my remote desktop. Ugh.

Thanks Jim,

I ran into that issue as well,'the fix was listed on live mesh's faq page

Again, here I shared my thoughts on how to make this service better, and quite frankly Citrix has much better HPRD technology and Microsoft could be leveraging this on their platoform...
