If you currently hold a Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) or Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) certification, did you know that update paths are available for both the upcoming CCEE (Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer) and CCIA for Virtualization? These update paths give seasoned Citrix pros the opportunity to update their credentials without taking five or six exams. The idea behind these update paths is to test candidates on new required skills, not on skills they already possess through previous certification.

      Anonymous, would you please clarify your comment? All CCEAs and CCIAs certified on MetaFrame XP or Presentation Server 3.0 can benefit from the simplified update path. However, this offer will only be available to XP and 3.0 CCEAs and CCIAs from the time the final exams release in Q4 through the end of June 2010. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to post them here or send us an email with your name to training@citrix.com so we can discuss your particular situation.     Thanks for posting this.

    I'm in a similar position, where I attained my CCEA in MetFrame XP and kept pretty much updated through experience and further CCA certification.

    Problem I have is that my CCEA was invalidiated - a change in the program meant I no longer qualified. It's almost like I worked hard to get it and then the criteria was changed and my CCEA was retrospectivly removed. Certification Manager shows I'm no longer compliant. How do I resolve this so i can take the upgrade exam?

    I certainly worked hard and would be to pay for the CCEE course if I could keep my certification updated.

      Russell, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with your CCEA certification. As I mentioned above, all CCEAs for MetaFrame XP will be able to take advantage of the simplified update path and obtain their CCEE by passing just one exam (A15 Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution) through June 2010. Can you please provide your last name, or contact me at angela.guzman@citrix.com with your full name and candidate ID? This will allow us to investigate your particular situation and confirm you indeed qualify for the update path.
