  Anil Madhavapeddy is a Senior Architect in the Virtualization and Management Division at Citrix. He primarily works on the [XenServer|http://www.citrix.com/XenServer] product line. Previously, he was a member of the [University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory|http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/], where he received [his PhD|http://anil.recoil.org/papers/] in creating high-performance, secure systems software using high-level languages. Anil has contributed to many open-source projects, primarily as a long-time developer of the secure [OpenBSD|http://www.openbsd.org] operating system. He has worked in industry at [Network Appliance|http://www.netapp.com] on creating scalable Internet content delivery systems, and at NASA on the Mars rover projects and various London-based consultancies.  His personal web-site and blog is available at [http://anil.recoil.org/] .
