Getting Involved in the EdgeSight Wiki

New in EdgeSight 5.3
EdgeSight 5.3 allows you to track Citrix license usage, published appplication launches and users, and session duration. Select the Track Usage tab to display links to these reports. The published application and session duration reports can also be found on the Browse tab.
License Server Monitoring
The license server monitoring feature of EdgeSight enables Citrix Administrators to quickly and
intuitively understand their license consumption and utilization through these reports:
- The License Usage Summary shows the latest license usage and availability information for product groups or individual products.
- The License Usage Trending page shows historical license usage and availability information for product groups or individual products. Trend information for license usage can help you forecast license requirements and schedule license acquisition based on the change in license usage over time. It can also help you identify peak usage times for certain product licenses.
Published Application Reports
The published application reports help you manage published applications by helping answer
the following questions:
- What are the most frequently used published applications?
- Who is using specific published applications and for how long?
- Who are the most active users and what published applications are they using?
Session Duration Reports
The session duration reports allow you to monitor the duration and frequency of sessions
across a farm or a user group, helping you determine how XenApp and XenDesktop resources
are being used.
Did You Know...
That you can search for reports by the counters that appear in them, the types of things they monitor, and many other attributes?
To find out what reports use a specific metric, in EdgeSight 5.3, click the Browse tab and type the name of the metric in the Search box in the user interface (not the FInd (CTRL + F) feature in the Web browser). You can also find reports by entering a report name or description in the Search box.
Featured Report; XenApp Summary
A report to show you average logins, sessions counts, latency, and memory consumption
This report gives the administration a fast high-level picture of farm health for any group of XenApp Servers.
