Since we released Access Essentials I been helping out on the official support forums. Problems connecting over the Internet come up fairly regularly. It a complex area, with DNS, static IPs, firewalls, ISA server, SSL certificates and more. I cover the topic in more depth in future posts but for now, I like to point you at a new online tool that I set up, the Citrix Access Essentials Internet Connectivity Test Service. The service is open to anyone - customers or partners.

This tool performs a number of simple tests on your Access Essentials server, to it configured. The service can guarantee anything - there are many reasons a connection might fail, but it does give a good indication. I like to improve the tool, so I really your feedback in the comments below - particularly if tests detect problem that is affecting your server.
