Citrix Fast Launch is an application/extension that expedites the launching of applications virtualized with Citrix XenApp.
We will be releasing it soon as a freeware on the CDN site.

I don't have a set date for release, but I understand this is something every single XenApp user can benefit from, so we will do our best to get it our as soon as possible.

Thanks Gus.  In the meantime can you give us some insight on how it works?  We average 3700 concurrent connections and our biggest performance complaint is our 15 second launch time.  This could be huge for us.

Interesting...I wrote something exactly like this for a client in 2001!

They were complaining about the time it took sessions to launch and the login script to run (Novell login scripts), and also wanted to avoid sessions logging out after the user closed their last application, so I wrote a bit of VB that sat in the system tray and kept the session open. A quick Web Interface tweak auto-launched this app when the user logged in.

Shame I no longer have the source code! I look forward to taking a look at this app.
