      Hi Kris,

Requests for a Citrix Receiver for Blackberry have been numerous, and it is an area that we are seriously looking at. Can't give further information at this time, but you can be sure that the requests have been heard.

Question for you, given the smaller screen of the Blackberry's most folks use (bold and storm aside), what is the key use cases you are interested in with the Blackberry, and which model Blackberry would you plan on using?

        Adam,

Well as a Storm user I can say that this would completely leverage our current XENApp Environment. We have roughly 200 BB in the enterprise and most users would just love to gain the access to office docs (and with OS 4.5) now on most devices they could use Docs to Go.

That aside as the Citrix administrator and Storm user this would make admin so nice from the road and on the go.

Im not wone to beg but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I need this for my Storm.

        Thanks

          Hello Adam,

searching the whole internet for an ICA (Citrix) Client for my Blackberry-Curve. Unfortunately the only solution I found "RoveIT / Rovemobile" (former: "Idokorro") discontinued the solution because of "too many free solutions do not justify a commercial one" - Ouuhh? - Where are they?

Please please do issue an "Citrix Receiver for Blackberry" It is higly aprecciated by thousands of CITRIX users worldwide, who like to be "OnLine".

           Thanks in advance

          Uwe (Germany)

    All,

I can't give any timeframe or formal commitment on Blackberry Citrix Receiver support, but we have heard all of the input from the community in this area. We are currently actively investigating options to support a receiver for Blackberry. Hopefully sooner than later, but for the momment, all I can say is that we are looking into it. Once the tech teams have had time to scope out the effort and staffing, and formalize a plan, I'm sure you will hear more on this topic.

Would be great for ya'll to list the applications and use cases that you would access via a Blackberry with a Citrix Receiver as feedback.

    Thanks
    Adam

This is a grat example of going against a reasonable logic. It just does not make sense when Blackberry is the choice of enterprise and there is not a Citrix appliation for it while iPhone as a more consumer based phone has an application as such from Citrix. It just doesn't add up.

hello i work for a large goverment agency in south Florida, we have  tested several 3rd party applications in order to get as much as possible done from the BB  , well a Citrix Receiver could reduce  the need for all these mom and pops apps and provide finally an enterprise way of getting windows apps on the go for blackberry users, now we have no other option than buying iphones (love Gus Pintos work and team on the receiver )   this will really create a business case to get a lot more Citrix Licenses $$$$$$ i know your team management would like that

Hello, I just downloaded the Citrix app for my iphone and would like to access my companys citrix server. I have been unable to connect to the server and was wondering if you could shed some light on what I might be dooing wrong. I have called tech support and have been unable to reach anyone who has the slighest idea what I am talking about. Is this going to require additional cost or additional software for the company in order for me to use the iphone?

    Hello Citrix,

Please release a beta of Citrix Receiver for BlackBerry devices.  Our customers very much desire a Citrix Receiver for their BlackBerry devices.

On 6/9/2009 Keith Turnbull posted in The Citrix Blog he is running a prototype of a BlackBerry receiver:

    http://community.citrix.com/display/ocb/2009/07/09/Citrix+XenApp+Running+on+My+Blackberry

We have not heard anything since about this receiver.   Please make this prototype available to developers as an alpha or beta.

Please allow mapping to the Blackberry's storage area via the receiver.  If possible please also allow mapping of audio and other devices, e.g. GPS.

    Thanks,

    Keller Beyer

Does anyone have any news for the blackberry. We would like to use it in partnership with the redfly mobile companion. We had purchased the companion in December upon seeing that the receiver was to be released then. Since then I haven't heard any feedback from Citrix and must say that I for one am quite disappointed in the lack of communication. We would use this application on the bold 9000 and Curve 8310s throughout the company mainly for sales persons on the road. Thank you.
