Citrix Receiver for Windows

Citrix Receiverâ„¢ for Windows is the first client for IT service delivery. With Citrix Receiver for Windows installed on an end user's computer, IT can deliver applications and desktops as an on-demand service with no need to manage, own, or care about the physical device or its location. This model enables IT to effectively operate as a service provider with complete control over security, performance, and most importantly, the user experience.

Citrix Receiver for Windows 1.1 SDK

The Citrix Receiver 1.1 SDK provides the interfaces required to develop software packages that integrate with Citrix Receiver for Windows that IT can deliver through the Merchandising Server. You can use the SDK to provide three levels of Receiver for Windows integration: installation, registration, and full integration. The level of integration that you implement will be dependent on your product requirements.

  • The installation integration provides the interfaces to use the Merchandising Server to deliver your software application to user's computers through Receiver for Windows.
  • The registration integration provides the interfaces required to detect an active Receiver and pass basic status updates.
  • Full integration, in addition to the interfaces for installation and registration, provides the interfaces for providing users controls, user notification, reconfiguration, and coordinated exit.
