Is Doc Finder a server application or a mobile/client application?
Doc Finder is a server application. It executes on a XenApp server and only the display is remoted to mobile devices using Citrix Receivers such as Citrix Receiver for iPhone.
What's the relationship between Doc Finder and Citrix Receiver?
Citrix Doc Finder and Citrix Receiver are part of an integrated solution for accessing your information from Apple iPhone. Doc Finder is not required to use Citrix Receiver. However, Doc Finder makes it easier to access documents stored on your XenApp server from your iPhone. So using Citrix Doc Finder with Citrix Receiver is highly recommended.
Can I access Doc Finder from my desktop?
Yes, you can. However, Citrix Doc Finder was designed for mobile devices, so using it on the desktop is not supported at this time.
Can I access Doc Finder from non-iPhone mobile devices?
Yes, you can. Due to priority constraints, this version focuses specifically on the iPhone. However, Doc Finder should work with other mobile devices with the appropriate Citrix Receivers.
If you use Doc Finder on non-iPhone mobile devices we are interested in your feedbacks. Please post them on the forum. In fact, one of the benefits of Citrix Doc Finder is to write one application and have it work on multiple mobile devices.
What resolution do you recommend in which Doc Finder is published?
We find 480*800 works well for many scenarios. But we recommend you try different resolutions. Please see admin guide for more details.
In what technology is Citrix Doc Finder implemented?
It's currently implemented as a winform application using C#.
It could have been implemented using other server side technology as well.
What is the version number of the Tech Preview release?
The released version has version number 1.0
The earlier tech preview release has version number 0.9
