In the video Getting Started in Amazon EC2 on this webpage http://community.citrix.com/display/xa/Amazon+Web+Services you demonstrated XenApp 5.0 AMI. Also how can you join a Windows 2003 / 2008 Active Directory domain after the image is booted in the EC2 cloud? The demo didn't not show any domain authentication. Thanks!

Thank you for this interesting video. I work behind a firewall and can connect Amazon EC2 only through an HTTP proxy. Does step 5 - accessing the desktop via a browser app - work through an HTTP proxy or does the browser app need direct TCP connections that do not go through the web proxy?

I am able to successfully login to an instance of ami-e4e2018d using the administrator credentials above, but when I try to launch an app I get a text box stating I do not have Terminal Server User Access permissions. It looks like Administrator is not part of the Remote Desktop Users group.

I see a lot of applications for Citrix in the Cloud -- as soon as I have this working I have several potential customers I want to give demos to.

There are several other published server instances that I would like to play with, do they all use the same credentials, and if not, are the credentials published anywhere?

It's great to have these AMI's to experiment with. But why why why do you have this hassle with wrong credentials? It is really frustrating.

For XenApp5.0_32bit_v1.4.manifest.xml I use

ID: Administrator

PW: Citrix123
Domain: CTXSLic1

added Tcp port 443 https to security group,
stopped/started instance again and now able to log in.

neither of these AMI's are avail anymore on AmazonAWS? I've searched for Citrix and XenApp and ami-fbfd and nothing comes up? Did this die that quickly?

I'm running into trouble trying to use ami-fbfd1492.

I try to RDP in using administrator/Citrix123 (domain: ctxslic1) but I then get an error message:

"The Local Session Manager service failed the logon.

The requested session access is denied."

I terminated the instance and tried again, but I still get that error.

Has anyone seen this before?

I have no trouble RDPing to other instances in the same security group.

Hi, I happily worked with a citrix ami for months now. Suddenly I get the described "The local session manager failed the logon." message and can no longer log into the system. Is there any explanation/solution for this?
