Citrix® Web Interface JSR168 Portlet Interface for Sun™ Java System Portal Server

Overview

Numerous Citrix customers rely on Web Interface for MetaFrame Presentation Server to gain access to various enterprise applications. Likewise, many Sun customers utilize Sun™ Java System Portal Server to logically organize a user's information and services into a portal framework.

Previously, Citrix and Sun customers have implemented a separate Citrix Web Interface site to allow access to mostly non web enabled applications while they also implemented the Sun™ Java System Portal Server to allow access to the user's information and web enabled enterprise applications. Now, these organizations are seeking standards based integration between their two separate interfaces into a single point of access for their users.

To be able to integrate MetaFrame Presentation Server access with the Sun™ Java System Portal Server will require the creation of a Web Interface JSR168 Portlet for the Sun™ Java System Portal Server.

You can learn more about the Sun™ Java System Portal Server on Sun's Java System Portal Server web site.
