Description

The MFPrinterUtil.exe tool can be used for listing and storing all printer drivers on MetaFrame servers in the form of an XML file. It can also compare the printer drivers present on two servers and list the printer drivers that are not on both servers. This tool is written in Csharp.net and uses Mfcom.dll to query the IMA.

You should have .NET framework 1.1 installed on your local machine.

How to Use MFPrinterUtil.exe

1. To compare the printer drivers on two servers, issue the following command:

> MFPrinterUtil.exe <server1> <server2>

You will get a printerdrivers.xml file containing the printer drivers that were found only on one server.

2. To get list of printer drivers on all servers in farm, issue the following command:

> MFPrinterUtil.exe

You will get an Allprinterdrivers.xml file in the same directory containing the list of all printer drivers.
