Description

The AppManagement tool can be used to manage applications. This tool is written in Csharp.net and uses an Mfcom.dll to query the IMA.

You should have .NET framework 1.1 installed on your local machine.

How to Use AppManagement

The following are commands to be used with this tool:

• AppManagement.exe S - Provides a summary of the farm.

• AppManagement.exe U - Lists all applications by group and user name in a farm.

• AppManagement.exe L <ServerName> - Lists all applications by server in a farm.

• AppManagement.exe R <ServerName> - Removes all applications from the server and add the application properties to an XML file.

• AppManagement.exe W <ServerName> - Writes all the application properties of a server for backup to an XML file for publishing later.

• AppManagement.exe A <XMLFilename> <ServerName> - To batch ADD all "existing" applications in a farm from an XML file to a server.

• AppManagement.exe E <AppDname> - Enables an application on a farm.

• AppManagement.exe D <AppDname> - Disables an application on a farm.

Code Snippet

The source code is included. Mfutil.cs contains most of the methods used by Appmanagment.exe.
