  • With regards to data networking and communications, the body, also known as the Payload, refers to the actual data that the Header information describes or is pertinent to. The body or payload always comes after a header. In the case of Internet communications, Webpages are delivered using the HTTP protocol, which states that all data packets must have a Header and a Body.
